Scholarship for International Students 2007

(Master and Doctoral programs)

In 2007, Yuan Ze University will offer a selection of prestigious scholarships to promising international postgraduates to develop their research interests and comprehension.  Through this new grant, talented students will be allocated with a selective package of scholarship along with perspective student’s admission application.  The package of the 2007 Yuan Ze Scholarship includes free tuition, accommodation, and Chinese language courses. Besides, subsidies for airfare and living expenses are also available on competitive bases. Yuan Ze University aims to provide students with quality education to develop the skills and the perspectives that will enable them to compete successfully in the Asia as well as the global environment.  For the year of 2007, Yuan Ze University aims to recruit a hundred of international students.

Eligibility

Typical applicants are as follows:

l          Applicants must be a non-citizen of ROC.

l          Applicants must hold proved degree or its equivalent and plans to attend one of the masters or doctoral programs at Yuan Ze University in 2007.

l          Applicants must complete and submit the application form.

Benefits

Admitted international students are automatically granted with tuition and accommodation waiver for the first academic year.  Outstanding students may receive a living subsidy of NT$6,000 (US$1=NT$33) per month for the first year.  In addition, a few outstanding students may be allocated with a round-trip airfare subsidy which may be up to NT$60,000.  Students who continue to perform outstandingly may apply for equivalent benefits for subsequent years, on a year-to-year basis. The benefits are subject to the scholarship committee’s term reviews.  Review results may serve as justification for benefit obtaining in the subsequent year. The benefit package may not exceed two academic years for master program students and three academic years for doctoral students.
